DETAIL
According to legend, Sishou (Four Beasts) Mountain from a distance appears as though a tiger, leopard, lion, and elephant are gathered here, and hence its name. The temple is located at the foot of Tiger Mountain, with a commanding location. The magnificent palatial temple overlooks the Taipei basin, symbolizing the Jade Emperor Lord guarding his followers.

Cut Plasterwork a decorative technique unique to the Fujian and Guangdong provinces in Southern China. As this temple is located in the Mountain of the Four Beasts, its eaves are decorated with cut plaster work featuring the tiger, leopard, lion, and elephant.
