Invention is creativity derived from the particularities of life. The “What Does Invention Entail?” exhibition features the 40 principles of creativity, and creative inventions in Taiwan as its two main themes, featuring over 200 items of lifestyle inventions in a viewing experience enriched by photography, videos, animation, and hands-on operations, as well as innovative and fun activities such as escape rooms and selfie areas that enable the viewer to understand the happiness and convenience afforded by inventions through personal life experience.
Through lifestyle inventions include the pencil used for writing, which has experienced continual innovations to develop pop-a-point pencils and automatic pencils, etc.; and tales and principles of invention such as the insurance salesman who loses out on a deal because his feather pen leaked, so invents the fountain pen.
