Exhibition Content:

After ten years of honing, the fine work achieved through the dedication of the students is revealed in a faculty-student exhibition, entitled “Dancing with Ink in the Year of the Sheep,” expressing the playfulness of ink painting through the theme of “sheep.”

Since ancient times, sheep have been associated with auspicious connotations. On the occasion of the 2015 year of the sheep, members of the Qunyutang Ink Painting Association have chosen sheep as the main subject for the paintings, where each sheep portrayed is a unique expression of the artist’s inner conception and sentiments, as well as a sincere wish of prosperity for all of the visitors.

In ink expression, “Landscape Elegance” exhibition area showcases paintings by faculty and students from their travels, documenting the mountains and lakes of various locations through ink painting, and conveying the elegance of the local culture. Visitors can enjoy beautiful scenery from different places as well as savor writings about landscapes.
In addition to ink paintings, Songshan Feng Tian Temple calligraphy instructor Du Wuxiong, who also studies painting under Ms. Ten, will also exhibit his Hundred Blessings and Hundred Longevities works, showcasing a myriad of flavors in Chinese ink painting.
To allow visitors to further experience the moment when water meets ink, and the wonderful world of variations when ink wash meets paper, a family DIY area has been set up.
